The Stroid Ho Principle What is a "box?" It's a concept or way of life that has become so familiar, so comfortable, that people are hesitant to think any other way. So it is with the Space Program. Modern day rocketeers think only in terms of chemical thrust as a means of leaving Earth's gravity well. They build increasingly bigger launch vehicles that carry massive amounts of fuel, and endure untold stress. Space X's Falcon 9 consumes 517 metric tonnes, or 1,139,778 pounds of fuel. Yeah. That much fuel EVERY TIME. The Starship rocket, which Space X hopes will take humans into space first to the Moon, and some day, to Mars, carries 1200 tonnes, or 2.6 million pounds. That much fuel every time humans leave the gravity well. Even if Starship takes 100 people into space, that's 26 thousand pounds of fuel consumed per person. At Stroid Ho, we mean to do better than that. Much better! We mean to utilize a virtually inexaustable source of energy to power earth exit craft. We will use the gravity of the moon, as it manifests itself twice every day in the ocean's tides.
